Ride - 12 miles with 13 gates. Very pretty ride with 1 3/4 miles of roadwork through the village of HEATHE down towards Fringeford. Roads fairly quiet. Lots of good canter opportunities on field headlands etc. A few flinty tracks.
12 mile route includes a few gates that you need to dismount for and you cross a ford / stream.
10 mile route misses out the 2 mile loop with the bad gates and ford.
There are a multitude of tracks / bridleways SO YOU WILL NEED TO CONCENTRATE ON YOUR TALK ROUND - LOOKING FOR MARKERS & BRIDLEWAY SIGNS.
