CDR Awards Criteria 2024
Main Championship - Awarded for Highest Total Distance for the season. In the event of a tie average speed will be taken into account.
1st Place - Mileage Trophy, 1st-6th place - Rosettes.
Mileage Rosettes Special Mileage Rosettes awarded - Gold 150km or more, Silver 100km or more, Bronze 70km or more,. Mileage Rosettes awarded - 3 or more rides completed.
Newcomer's - Awarded to a new member who achieves the highest mileage for the season, above a thresh hold number of rides determined each year by the committee, (nb. this award may not be awarded every year).
1st Place - Newcomers Trophy, 1st-6th place - Rosettes.
William Pony Power - Awarded to a native type pony, 14.2hh and under with no Arab/TB blood lines (ie.should be a hairy cob type!), for the highest mileage through the season. Rider must email/present horse passport to committee, before the last ride of the season, in order to be entered.
1st Place -William Pony Power Trophy, 1st-6th place - Rosettes.
Ride Organiser - This awarded is decided by committee, who are happy to hear from members with their suggestions. Criteria include: timely paperwork, good organisation before the ride and at the venue, well marked routes i.e. nobody gets lost!
1st Place - Ride Organiser Trophy & Rosette.
Joan Allen - Awarded by a speed versus horses final heart rate calculation, (i.e. horse fitness criteria), and is usually held at one of the longer rides over the longer distance.
1st Place - Joan Allen Trophy, 1st-6th place - Rosettes.
Speed Stakes - Open to horses under 21yrs, (all horses accredited with DOB as 1st Jan). When there is more than one route option only the longer route qualifies. Combinations must have completed a minimum of 50% of rides during the season.
1st Place - Speed Stakes Trophy, 1st-6th place - Rosettes.
Veterans - Open to horses 21 years and over, (all horses accredited with DOB as 1st Jan). Combinations must have completed a minimum of 50% of rides during the season. Awarded by a handicap points system.
1st Place - Veterans Trophy, 1st-6th place - Rosettes.
Veteran Challenge- Open to horses 21yrs and over (all horses accredited with DOB as 1st Jan). When there is more than one route only the longer route qualifies.
1st Place -Koppers Veteran Challenge Trophy, 1st-6th place - Rosettes.
Dearden - Awarded to a non-native pony 14.2hh and under. Arab, TB etc. Rider must email/present horse passport to committee, before the last ride of the season, in order to be entered.
1st Place - Dearden Trophy, 1st-6th place - Rosettes.
All awards are awarded to Horse and Rider combinations.
NB.Riders must volunteer, (before/during or after a CDR Event), during the season to qualify for Awards
